Dress & Shoes or….
I hope you remember my strong commitment to buying new shoes and a dress as an award for finishing DIY Kitchen units project!
Sorry, but this time (as all the other times) dress & shoes wereย switched to vintage porcelain tea/coffee set… Well. It came almost complete but I’m used to it… There was only one time I received everything unbroken! The worth scenario was 1/3 of all the dining set was crashed… But I don’t mind… Let it be! I’m using my porcelain and if the set isn’t full I have no problem to lose few more over the years.
This one is from Czechoslovakia. I never had one from Czechoslovakia before but some say that they have good porcelain! And I didn’t choose it cause it’s from Czechoslovakia but cause it has yellow roses. Love them!
I would love to have a kitchen in yellow and dark gray. I’m working on it… At least it’s not green anymore!
Ilze
P.S. I have to hand wash it and then I will share how it looks ๐
Well as I said before, you deserve both. So enjoy your porcelain but now go out and buy yourself a new dress and shoes then post a pic of you enjoying a drink from your porcelain while wearing the new dress and shoes! ๐๐๐
… and do it in the kitchen ๐ I might do so.. but it will take time to “get ready” for such photo shoot ๐ I’m thinking about making video ๐
Great! Iโm looking forward to it; a video too would be wonderful. My only regret: I canโt do the photoshoot ๐๐
๐ Silly you! Maybe you need to come visit latvia in summer! Maybe you decide to buy house here near Cฤsis (beautiful city).
What kind of dress do like? (I saw your comment that all locally available look โweirdโ on you. Iโm not sure thatโs right – whatโs Janisโs opinion?).Iโd love to visit Latvia but I donโt think Petronela would be enthusiastic. Iโll have a look at Cesis.
Jฤnis doesn’t have opinion. “Just take the one you are comfortable in…” that’s Janis ๐
I had a look at Cesis. It does look lovely and sounds interesting too. As we recently discussed in our writersโ club, no comment means what? – Iโll have to have a word with Janis if I do come to Latvia ๐. Petronela says she appreciates knowing that sheโll get an honest answer from me if she asks for my opinion on her dress, even something as simple as โdo you think this is too short for school?โ Mind you, if she wants to wear something she will whatever my opinion, which I in turn appreciate ๐
Cฤsis is beautiful! You should meet Janis in person, cause he is hard to describe! He is so kind and friendly (and I didn’t mean partying around, but helping when there is a need)
I had come to this conclusion about Janis from various little pointers in your posts. Iโd ery much like to meet him.
๐ we need to arrange that! ๐
I’d love to see a video too. I’m glad you got something that makes you happy!! ๐
๐ I guess it’s easier to buy porcelain than dress! They all look weird on me… I guess here in local stores aren’t “normal” dresses ๐
So pretty
๐ even broken!
I think it’s a perfectly fine switch as long as you love it! Congrats on finishing!!๐๐
I love it! No doubt! ๐ But I really need dress for “celebrations” like Christmas, New Year etc
Something will come up
I hope so
I always find things when I’m not looking for them! As soon as I’m looking I can’t find a thing๐
I agree! I’m not looking (just saw few and didn’t like them) ๐ I guess I need to start shopping. I don’t like shopping at all!
I take a friend and make sure we go for lunch and tea so it’s more an outing than shopping:)
There aren’t such options where I live! We don’t have shopping centers, only small shops and cafe is far away from them ๐
Cool you don’t have big box stores- you get to support local:)
Sometimes I wish I had zara, monton, etc near me!
I’m sure! Sometimes I wish for certain US stores.
A lovely tea set! You must do as you please in this case.
I thought so too!
Your new tea set is lovely. Did you save the broken pieces? You could start a new hobby and make a mosaic from the broken shards. It could continue to be beautiful even in small pieces.
I never thought about that! I should save them!
