The First Summer Night Fog

This week is terribly busy at work! It feels I have no time for anything else! I can’t wait for this week to be over.

The drive home from Salacgriva was absolutely spectacular.

The first summer night fog of the year had arrived, quietly covering the land like a soft white blanket. I always look forward to these evenings. There is something magical about summer fog—it isn’t heavy or gloomy. It feels light, airy, and almost dreamlike. Usually it comes out after a rain.

I couldn’t stop admiring the view through the car window. Moments like these remind me why I love living in the countryside. Every season has its own kind of beauty, and even an ordinary drive home can become something unforgettable.

  1. Your fog does look lovely . . . it really is kind’of a half-fog 🙂 ! Ours are always autumnal ones, mostly in May, but then they are so thick cars often have to stop and airports are closed until 8-9am (ours always come in the morning hours). I love the sense of privacy they create but appreciate how many accidents occur to people going to work. As far as your ‘busy’ is concerned – go at a comfortable rate and try to enjoy the contacts you have, each little bit at the time. Take a few minutes break, look out towards you greenhouse and vegetable beds, smile and take on the next task! I love working from home at my own speed . . .

      1. Don’t worry – your boss will complain 🙂 ! Seeing how quickly you get everything else done you are probably one of the fastest in your lot!!! Do an honest day’s work and enjoy yourself doing so!

  2. Fog is so fun unless you’re driving. Great memories! 🤭 I see that you drive on the correct side of the road…
