I am waiting for an important email.
And suddenly, my email inbox is stressing me out.
I have around 9,000 unread emails. Yes, 9,000. Mostly spam, newsletters and subscriptions I no longer care about. I’ve lived with this mess for years and somehow it never bothered me much.

Until now.
When you’re waiting for one important email, you want to see that little 1 unread message. Instead, I see 9K. It could mean one new email. It could mean twenty. Who knows?
And now I can suddenly see the mess.
Going through just the emails I’ve received today already takes time. Then there are yesterday’s. And all the old subscriptions I should probably unsubscribe from.
I honestly don’t even know where to start.
It’s funny how a mess can stay invisible until you suddenly need something from it.
All I want right now is to be able to look at my inbox and know: the email I’m waiting for is there.
Maybe it’s finally time to do something about those 9,000 emails.

Wow Ilze, I suggest you check your email twice a day going forward. 😂 I have two address, one for the real stuff and the other for that which will be spam rubbish. I hope that you get your important email. ☺️
