An Evening to Remember Before Heading Back to the Flat

Yesterday evening was a moment of pure serenity, a fitting farewell before we returned to the flat. We usually spend our weekends at our renovation site, depending on the weather and the work we plan to do. This time, we decided to extend our stay, arriving early on Friday morning and making the most of our surroundings until Monday morning. However, I had to head back to the flat on Sunday night, and this view made it all the more difficult to leave.

As the sun began to set, the sky was painted in soft hues of orange and pink, casting a warm glow over the landscape. The mist rolled in gently, blanketing the fields and creating an almost ethereal atmosphere. The silhouettes of trees and distant hay bales emerged through the fog, adding to the tranquility of the scene. It was one of those moments that made you want to pause and just take it all in, savoring the peacefulness that surrounded you.

This view is one of the things I love most about our time at the renovation site. It’s not just a place where we work on turning a house into our dream home, but a place where we can truly connect with nature and find moments of calm. Even though I had to leave a bit earlier than usual, this view stayed with me, a reminder of why we love spending time out here. And I can’t wait to call this our home!

    1. Thank you so much for your lovely comment! This view is what I see as I walk through the garden. My garden is still a work in progress with clay soil and just one old apple tree. I’ve seen your garden, and it’s absolutely beautiful with so many flowers! I have only one old rose bush at the moment, and the rest is under construction. It looks like I have another 10-year (or should I say 20-year!) project ahead of me!

Thanks again for your kind words!
