#3: From Followers to Friends – Julie from hartlife1973.wordpress.com

Meet Julie

My other friend from the early blogging days is Julie. She amazes me in so many ways, though I won’t list them all here. You should definitely check out her transformative journey—that’s how we first connected, through the Keto diet. Julie is an incredibly hard-working mom, and I admire how she’s always there for me, offering support when I need it most. We catch up sometimes over WhatsApp.

Today, I’m excited to share a bit more about the incredible followers that led to a Friend – Julie from https://hartlife1973.wordpress.com/

Getting to Know You

What inspired you to start your blog?

I started blogging many years ago. I thought it would be a great idea to meet new people.

Can you tell me a bit about yourself—where you’re from, what you do, and what you enjoy most in life?

I am a native Texan in the US. I have 3 jobs; hoa manager, data entry clerk, and house/pet sitter. I enjoy my alone time working on diamond paintings and watching Netflix.

What do you like about my blog?

I love seeing the country, watching the kids grow up, seeing how the house is coming along. It’s so beautiful there!

Personality Insights

How would your closest friends describe you in three words?

Stressed, careful, and workaholic 😂

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day?

Walking the dog, doing diamond art, having a beer

Are you more of a morning person or a night owl?

Both! I am always up early but stay up late as well.

Fun and Creative

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?

I would love to go to England now. My friend there is always telling me to come. I would enjoy seeing my friend, I have never been so would love to go around the country and see what it’s like in person.

What’s the most memorable book, movie, or show you’ve experienced recently?

I am reading a fitness instructors book and it is very interesting and has so many highlights of why people don’t lose weight easily and why.

What’s a favorite memory or experience from your childhood that still makes you smile?

Climbing the tree in the park playing tag with the other neighborhood kids.

Life Lessons and Reflections

What’s a significant lesson you’ve learned from a challenging experience in your life?

Think before you speak. If an email, write what you want to say, walk away and take a few breaths, then come back and change it to be firm but polite.

How do you approach making important decisions or handling big changes?

I’m not great on change but can deal with it. I am a list person so usually writing things down to see pros and cons before making the decision.

What’s something you wish you had known earlier in life, and how has that insight influenced you?

How to save money. I’m in my 50’s and just starting to save for retirement! I’m going to have to be a cheap old lady I think. 😂

That was Julie,

Ilze

  1. I have met Julie! She was in Las Vegas for a few days a couple of years ago I think, she was with a friend of hers who lives here in Las Vegas that I have followed on WP for a long time. We had lunch together in Tivoli Village. Such a small world, aye? 😂❤️

    1. I remember her sharing the trip to Las Vegas.. on her Instagram. This is great, made my day! I’m still tired from Helmī’s birthday and haven’t had a chance to catch up on what everyone’s been up to, but I’m hoping to go through all the fellow bloggers’ posts today. 🙂

                    1. Yes, I guess! They were eating everything! I got Oreos, and waffles, Coca-Cola, and Juices 🙂 Danish butter cookies. For real food, we had Salamon, veggies, and organic cage-free chicken, thanks to Grandmother 🙂
