Good morning, America!
Here we are in 2024, watching Trump gain support again, and while I can laugh at the absurdity, there’s real concern too – his actions impact not only America but all of us. Beyond Trump himself, this moment highlights a deeper issue: why is America so reluctant to elect women to high office? Countries like Latvia have shown that electing strong female leaders can lead to powerful progress. Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga, for example, was one of our best presidents, guiding Latvia with integrity and vision.
What’s even more troubling is how women’s rights in America are slipping. It feels like women are being pushed back, told to “clean the house and keep quiet.” It’s disheartening to see the rights so many fought for being rolled back as if progress never happened.
In a world facing complex challenges, we need leadership that genuinely aims to unite and progress. America has options, and we all hope they choose leaders who build a positive future – for everyone, everywhere.

I turned off the radio this morning when I woke up and heard the news. I’m not going to switch on the tv today. To me it’s completely incomprehensible that a pathological liar, criminal and idiot gets elected. I lost faith in America, once again.

I completely understand how you feel, Herman. It’s heartbreaking to watch, especially when it feels like integrity and truth are being sidelined. Sometimes, disconnecting from it all is the best way to preserve your peace of mind. It’s hard to watch such a deep divide, but hopefully, things will shift towards a more thoughtful, compassionate direction in time. Stay strong!

Trump is a radical and has pushed women’s right back a 100 years. It’s only going to get worse. Not just for women but our country. I have no idea who the next President is going to change our country for the better. It’s a sad day for me. Yes, there are still too many men and some women who will not vote for a woman. It’s a loss for them. Kamala was perfectly suited for the job but she played fair, lie, attack with baseless claims and I think people felt she couldn’t do the job because she’s nice and she’s a woman. Unfortunately, politics today is like a pitbull fight in a cage.

Because he is against abortion, that is driving our rights back? Abortion is killing an innocent person. That’s murder.

His stance on abortion is so far down on the list of issues that scare me.

We’re not here to judge, God does and that’s a personal matter between the person and God. You don’t have a part in judging weather it’s murder or not.

I disagree with your statement, but I’m out of here. I only know what the Bible says. Not to worry, I’m leaving this blog.

I understand that this is a deeply personal and emotional topic for many people. It’s important to recognize that discussions around abortion often involve complex ethical, moral, and personal beliefs. For some, the belief that life begins at conception shapes their stance on abortion, while others focus on the right to make choices about their own bodies. What’s essential in these debates is finding a balance that respects both perspectives while ensuring that everyone’s rights and autonomy are upheld.

I agree with you—it’s frustrating to see women’s rights pushed back and politics becoming more divisive. Kamala Harris faced harsh criticism not for her abilities but because of her gender and demeanor. It’s disheartening, but we can’t lose hope. The fight for progress continues, and we need to keep pushing for change.

‘Right wing’ will never “build a positive future – for everyone, everywhere.“.. Because they only think of themselves; of as much money and power ‘they’ can get. ‘America First!!’.. That’s a very animal way of thinking; but we are humans, aren’t we?..
