Only Murders in the Building: Why I Like It

I’ve been hooked on Only Murders in the Building, but not for the reason many might think. Yes, Selena Gomez is great, but she’s not the reason I keep coming back. What captivates me is the concept, the clever way the characters unravel mysteries, and—this might sound odd—the interiors of the Arconia!

Oliver’s apartment, with its vibrant and eclectic decor, feels like a character all on its own. Every time the show cuts to his place, I find myself pausing to take in all the little details. It’s luxurious yet lived-in, colorful yet not chaotic—perfectly reflecting Oliver’s larger-than-life personality. Even Mabel’s apartment, with its moody, modern vibe, feels like a perfect backdrop for her character.

The setting adds so much to the story’s atmosphere. It’s like the Arconia itself is a cozy, mysterious puzzle box waiting to be explored. Combine that with the humor, suspense, and heartfelt moments as the trio pieces together each case, and you have a show that strikes a perfect balance.

This series offers just the right amount of excitement for me—not too much, not too little. I love how it feels like a modern whodunit with a quirky, relatable twist. The mysteries keep me on my toes, but the characters and their dynamic truly steal the show.

What about you? Do you find yourself getting lost in the world of Only Murders in the Building, or is it the crime-solving that draws you in?
