I had all my seeds in the shoe box and in the plastic box with the lid. It’s not like I can’t live like this, but it’s so good to have a beautiful box that is made specially for seed packet storage. I love small beautiful things that make everything MUCH BETTER!
As you know, I bought two – Sophie Conran Galvanized Seed Organiser, and the other is the Leather-Handled Seed Packet Storage Tin (Frog) as I wrote here: I Couldn’t Resist – So I Got Two Seed Boxes!
After buying two seed storage tins (because I couldn’t decide!), I thought it’d be fun to compare them. Both are beautiful, both are practical—but they have some key differences!
Sophie Conran Galvanized Seed Organiser

✔️ Sturdy galvanized steel with a vintage look, as I like it.
✔️ Built-in monthly dividers to keep seeds neatly sorted by sowing date.
✔️ Holds a bit bigger seed packets.
❌ Risky handle on top of lid. If the lid opens, all will be on the floor 🙂
Leather-Handled Seed Packet Storage Tin (Frog)

✔️ Elegant dark green design with stylish leather handles
✔️ Portable and easy to carry
❌ No built-in organization—just an open space
Which One Wins?
Either way, my seeds are now organized, and I’m so ready for gardening season! 🌱✨
Which one would you choose? Let me know!

Leather handled
Love the color! 🙂 I usually have my hands full when picking up this box, which makes it tricky. I grab it by one of the handles, but I don’t think it’ll hold up for long.
I’m with Derrick, the leather-handled version is better. Maybe you can put your own organiser system in the box.
Yes, I plan to do that! 🙂
Yay! I hope you grow a forest of food this spring, Ilze!! 😊❤️
Forest 🙂 I hope to grow a kilogram or a bucket 🙂 but not a forest!
The Frog for me. I love dark green and like the leather handles, they will age well.
I hope so 🙂 Love the color! 🙂 I usually have my hands full when picking up this box, which makes it tricky. I grab it by one of the handles, but I don’t think it’ll hold up for long.
Not with stress on one handle. You can buy you some seed cards and make it like you want. Sounds like your going to need two trips to start gardening.
Yeah, definitely trying to plan things out so it’s manageable! I like the idea of seed cards—might give that a try. Hopefully, I can get everything started without too many trips!
Tje first of setting up the garden each year requires some effort bu the payback i so worth it.
Since we have to do from zero… with all the raised beds and greenhouse… a huge plan … again! And still haven’t finished a single room in the house
ou will have to priority to get everything in and maybe look at gardening as self-care since it helps your mental help.
Yes, gardening is great for mental health. I hope it becomes my saving grace! 😊
