Just when I hoped we could contain it, the flu has claimed its second victim—Helmī is now sick too. Fever, chills, the same exhaustion… it’s all too familiar. Now, I have two little patients at home, and I can only hope it stops here.

We’re doing everything we can—ventilating the house, keeping the air fresh, and letting passive ventilation do its job. It might be cold outside, but nothing beats fresh air when illness takes over.
Thankfully, both Nelle and Helmī have their special flu medication, which should help them get through this faster. I just wish there was something to speed up the long, restless nights. Sick kids never sleep well, which means I don’t sleep well either.
Fingers crossed that this doesn’t turn into a full-family flu disaster.

Oh no! I hope it passes quickly with no other victims.

Thank you for your concern. Unfortunately, I’ve also come down with the flu and am currently on sick leave. We’re focusing on rest and recovery, hoping Jānis remains healthy.

Thank you, John. The flu has indeed been challenging. Girls are on the mend, and now it’s my turn to battle it. We’re taking it one day at a time.
