Nature’s Unexpected Gifts

Yesterday, I shared a blog post about the pig fat stealer, and guess what? I was lucky again! This time, I managed to capture some lovely pictures of my favorite bird — the Raven. It feels like nature keeps rewarding me with these little glimpses of wonder, and I am so grateful for every one of them.

I feel incredibly lucky to have nature all around me. There’s something peaceful and grounding about living close to the land, with the sounds of birds, rustling leaves, and the fresh air of the countryside. I honestly can’t imagine living in the city anymore. I had my fair share of city life when I drove there every week for dentist appointments. The noise, the hustle, the endless concrete — it was enough for me. Now, every time I head out into the calm of the countryside, I feel more and more grateful for the slower pace and the beauty that surrounds me.

I don’t miss the city at all. There’s something truly special about being able to step outside and breathe in the fresh, clean air, with wide open spaces in every direction. Nature has a way of soothing the soul, and I’m thankful for the peace it brings every day.

I don’t know if you remember, but I was ill in November and surprisingly took a picture of some young moose! That’s rare here — I’ve never seen one before. It was one of those rare, magical moments I treasure the most in the countryside.

        1. Wrote you a few comments. I’ve been frustrated! A lot is happening, but the wallpapers are hung in the living room! Imagine that! I need to do a post about that. Tomorrow, we hope to start on vinyl flooring! It might take a few days to lay and then a few more to dry! Will see 🙂

          1. Oh, yes you did, I stand corrected! 🤭 When my new vinyl floor was installed a few weeks ago, there was no drying time. They laid a thin padding over the old tile floor and installed the new floor right over it, it too about 1.5 days to complete but this is a small three bedroom home. ❤️

            1. You’ve got the ‘click’ version, and I’ve got the ‘glue-down’ one! It’s a completely different technique. For underfloor heating, the ‘glue-down’ option is definitely better.
