Yesterday was Linna’s big slumber party! 🎉 I knew it would be a lot, but I didn’t realize just how much until I found myself setting up six beds. Yes, SIX.
First, I laid out six flat sheets. Then came the pillows, followed by six duvets with covers. Let me tell you, getting duvet covers on is a workout—multiply that by six, and suddenly, I was questioning my life choices. 😅

.By the time everything was ready, I was sweaty and exhausted. I love hosting, and I love that Linna has friends over. I hope to share more later.

I’m sure many mothers will agree with you that it’s a blessing that birthdays only come around once a year for each child! Heaven help those with half a dozen who all want slumber parties!! This layout looks very inviting – well done!

It really is a blessing! I can’t imagine organizing multiple slumber parties in a year—one is exhausting enough! Do you enjoy planning birthday celebrations, or do you prefer to keep them simple?

Nowadays I let others do all the work 🤗

That sounds like a great approach! 😄 Sometimes, it’s nice to just sit back and enjoy the celebration without all the stress. Did you used to plan big parties, or have you always preferred a simpler style?

A lot of work for sure, but what fun and what a wonderful memory Linna will have! I don’t have a daughter so I never put together a slumber party, but I loved planning parties for my son when he was growing up 🙂

That sounds lovely! I bet your son has some great memories from those parties. What kind of themes or activities did you plan for him?

When he was very small we did theme parties of his favorite characters, A Pooh party, a Barney party, a Power Rangers party, lol. We did a swim party one year and rented the pool at a local motel… eight rowdy little boys, now that was some work, lol! There was a place called the Discovery Zone where kids could play in ball pits and climb in colorful tunnels, we did that one year. As he got older it was pizza parties and bonfires, just kind of hanging out with his friends. Each year was special and I miss them all 🙂

That sounds like such wonderful memories! 🎉 I bet the pool party was a wild one! I start to consider it! It’s sweet how the celebrations changed over the years but stayed special. Do you ever look back at old photos from those birthdays? 😊
