A Nice Living Room Moment

Right now, I’m sitting in the living room—in our old chair, laptop on my lap. On the right, the windowsill is full of plants soaking up the light. On the left, an absolute army of tomato seedlings—around 120 in total. They’ve taken over the space, tall and cheerful, stretching toward the sun as if they know their time in the garden is coming soon.

I have to admit, I went a little overboard this year. I started with a few varieties, then added more “just in case” some didn’t sprout… and, well, they all did. Now I’m surrounded by 120 happy little plants. There’s no way we could possibly plant all of them in our garden—it would be complete tomato madness! I’ve started offering them to friends and neighbors, hoping they’ll find new homes. It makes me smile, imagining our tomatoes growing in other gardens too.

The room itself is finished, finally. What’s missing are the cozy things—bookshelves, a sofa, and the soft details that make a space feel lived in. But we’ll get there.

For now, with plants to the right, tomatoes to the left, and this peaceful moment in between—it already feels like home.

  1. That’s a lot of tomatoes. They’ll produce hundreds of pounds. Do you want to can some. I’ll do a post. Do you have a pressure cooker. If not, you can do water bath canning.

    1. I hope to buy a pressure cooker, and I have a water bath canner :). I would like to make a pasta sauce, but has no good recipe 🙂 If you have any, let me know.

This comment is without a profile, not sure who is commenting and where is your blog 🙂 I don’t want to miss a good recipe 🙂

              1. No worries! ❤️ Many Californians are moving up here and we Nevadans don’t want them and make it obvious too. “Don’t California my Nevada”! These liberals have ruined California and now want to trash Nevada too, nope!
