Final Dentist Appointment – And a Surprise Winter Return

Yesterday was my final dentist appointment—yes, really this time! If you’ve been following along, you might remember the post I shared after my fifth visit back in February, when the main problem tooth was taken care of.

This last visit wasn’t about that one—it was for two other teeth that had small holes. They were nothing serious, but they needed attention before turning into bigger problems. I’m so glad I followed through and didn’t postpone it again. Everything is fixed and cleaned now, and I feel like I can finally breathe easier!

But of course, in classic Latvian fashion, winter decided to return just as we were driving home. Still has our winter tires on!

No signs of spring anywhere—just grey skies, chilly winds, and snowflakes swirling in the air. It felt like February again.

Still, there’s comfort in small victories. My teeth are sorted, and that’s one less thing to worry about. Now I’m back home, sipping tea, wrapped in a blanket, and dreaming of radishes and sunshine—even if spring is clearly running late this year.

  1. Glad you have sorted out all the dentistry work needed, must be a relief. I am a lot older than you and have lost quite a few teeth !, seriously thinking about implants, very expensive though. Lovely to see the Latvian forest in your images, brings back great memories. I’m getting your posts in WordPress reader now 🙂👍

    1. Thank you! Yes, it really is a relief to have the dental stuff under control—what a journey! Implants do seem like a good long-term solution, even though they are pricey. I hope you find an option that works well for you.

I’m so glad the forest photos brought back good memories! Latvia’s nature has a special kind of peace to it. And yay, happy to hear my posts are showing up in your Reader now! 😊👍

    1. Thank you, Peggy! It’s important to take care of yourself, not just your teeth, but when you are depressed, there is no willpower to take care… hence the result. I’m happy I’m back… different, but back 🙂 How is your foot!
