I just realized I forgot to share a little glimpse into our Mother’s Day this year—and it was too lovely to skip. I want to remember it forever. Kids grow fast!
Sunday started with a surprise: breakfast in bed, lovingly made by my girls. It was the sweetest gesture, and a quiet moment just for me before the day got going. Jānis also brought home some truly delicious pastries—flaky, soft, and still warm. I felt spoiled in the best way.

Later, two of the girls went off to a friend’s birthday party, which meant I spent the afternoon at home with the youngest one. The one who still likes to huddle close, talk to me about everything and nothing, and just be near. She’s still very much a kid, and I treasure it deeply—especially knowing how quickly that phase passes.
The older girls are already full of independence and teenage energy, which is beautiful in its own way, but this quiet, snuggly stage is something I’m holding onto with both hands.
It was a slow, sweet day. Nothing big or fancy—just full of warmth, pastries, and love.

P.S. I can’t believe I’m saying – kids grow up fast! I’m saying it for the first time!!!! I never thought it would happen!

All things end, make each day your best. Time flies, brain in neutral, tongue in high.
