One of the most heartwarming parts of the weekend has been watching the bond between Jānis and Oto grow stronger with each passing day. There’s something so genuine and joyful about the way they connect – whether they’re laughing, playing, or deep in conversation about all the important (and not-so-important) topics a five-year-old can think of. Their time together is full of warmth, curiosity, and shared silliness. And let’s be honest – it’s also a bit of a full-body workout for Jānis, because Oto loves being lifted, spun around, and carried like a flying rocket!

They can spend the whole day side by side – heading out for long walks, splashing around while swimming, or just diving deep into whatever game or adventure their imagination leads them to. And the best part? They both truly enjoy it. Jānis lights up just as much as Oto does.
Oto is only five, but he’s such a lovely boy – polite, curious, and a real little smartie-pants. He always has something clever or funny to say, and his bright eyes soak up the world around him like a sponge. He’s my brother’s son, and honestly, it’s hard not to be completely charmed by him.
Watching this connection grow – between uncle and nephew, between adult and child – feels like witnessing the quiet start of something lasting. They’re not just spending time together; they’re building a strong bond that I believe will last for years to come.
Moments like these make summer feel just a little more golden.

John, thank you! It really means a lot to hear that. These everyday connections feel like the real heart of summer. Do you have any memories like this from your own childhood or family?

Thank you, I can imagine them both chatting about something 10 years from now.
