1 Year of Daily Posts: Life as a Latvian Mom

Today marks 369 days since I started posting daily about my life as a Latvian mom. That’s a whole year—plus a few extra days for good measure.

What began as a small habit quickly turned into a rhythm I didn’t want to break. Some posts were brief, some were disorganized, but all were genuine. I shared garden, renovation chaos, tea moments, parenting highs and lows—just everyday life, one day at a time.

What I’ve Learned

  • The small moments matter more than we think.
  • You don’t need perfection to stay consistent.
  • Writing daily helps you notice life more deeply.

I’m proud of this streak, not because it was flashy, but because it was honest.

Thank you for reading, whether it was once or every day. I’ll keep going—maybe not forever, but definitely for now.

I’ve decided to share each vacation day the following morning—so tomorrow, I’ll post today’s recap. I enjoy blogging in the morning, and it just makes sense to reflect on the day before while everything’s still fresh.

  1. As you know I have been ‘with you’ only a few weeks . . . especially knowing what your lifestyle, scenery, climate, food et al would be . . . an interesting ‘journey’ north every my morning. Owing to circumstances I cannot manage a similar task but have a big worldwide number of interesting blogfriends on cooking and travel and photography et al . . . if you are ever interested, send me your email and you may find a few interesting-to-you addresses to which to subscribe 🙂 !
