I went for a 5 km walk with Jānis. On the way, we spotted bees, a butterfly caterpillar, an overturned beetle, and even a little stream. Everything just feels more romantic when I’m walking with my husband. 🙂

Back at home, we’ve nearly finished eating through one of the romaine lettuce beds, but luckily two more are safely hidden under netting, protected from butterflies. I’m thinking that with a bit of planning, I can stretch the lettuce harvest long enough to still have some in October.

Tiny pumpkins are starting to appear too — though I have the feeling they won’t have enough time to fully grow, unfortunately.
It feels like I’m slowing down and not doing “projects” I was planning to… Oh, well 🙂

The vegetables look great, the surrounds summery and lovely, the bugs part of the scene, the sky about to pour and the best photo has two happy humans in it . . . 🙂 !
