Today is Helmī’s 10th Birthday!

Our youngest turned ten today! 🎉 Helmī has always been full of surprises — she’s the kind of kid who won’t just do or say what you expect, and that makes her truly extraordinary. She’s fun, clever, and has her own way of looking at the world.

Right now, she dreams about being a clothing designer… but she’s still figuring that out. Honestly, she doesn’t need to rush. Helmī has this wonderful laid-back attitude — things just seem to come her way naturally.

We had to postpone her party this time. Nelle is sick, and Linna isn’t feeling great either. With our house still under renovation and everyone sharing space, it’s not easy to host a celebration while others try to rest. Once the house is finished and each of the kids has their own room, these things will be so much easier. For now, the party will have to wait until next week — or maybe even a bit later.

But party or not, today is still a special day. Helmī is 10! 💛

  1. Helmi – a happy, happy, happy birthday to you ! Wish I could send you a kangaroo baby to cuddle and hop around with 🙂 ! Ilze – a beautiful photo collection of family happiness . . , for some reason I most like the two simple ones taken with Dad > absolute relaxation and contentment > she will grow into a happy adult – kudos!

    1. Ilze – I thought many of my friends would like to see a happy family’s growing up photos – so reposted yours and I am certain Helmi has many more birthday wishes wending their way towards Latvia – hope she does not mind . .

    1. Thank you! I was surprised that Helmī didn’t show up in my blog posts very often till 2018… Now it’s almost always a Helmī, who is happy to pose 🙂

    1. Thank you, Derrick! I can’t believe she is 10. And the oldest is 13! Can you remember what you did 10 years ago in September? I wish I hadn’t changed the blogs… I would have our “history” for past 15 years… or more!
