In my last post, I told you about my old Mondamin baking tin and my mission to find the cake it was actually made for.
And I found it!
After lots of searching, I finally came across an old Mondamin cookbook on eBay Germany.
And there it was — on page 15:
Wiener Nuss-Kuchen.

The exact cake named on my little baking tin!
Seeing the original recipe printed in an old cookbook was such a lovely feeling. I had been searching for the recipe, and suddenly I was looking at it.
Now I have the tin and the recipe.
The only thing left is to actually bake it.
And I’m very curious to see what this little piece of baking history tastes like. ❤️
To be continued…

How fun, Ilze! Have fun baking this cake and I’d love to try a piece. Have a great week and I hope you are feeling much better. 😊
Yayyy! Let the baking begin 🙂
Hey Ilze, is now the moment when we’re supposed to exchange our addresses so you can send us the cakes? 😂😂😂
Yes, what were you thinking? Actually making us hungry with a recipe? And then the next article featuring a beautiful photo of a cake, while leaving us sitting here with empty stomachs? Aaah nooooo! 😱😂😂😂
Just kidding, of course… but seriously, that cake does look dangerously good! 😂😂😂
