This weekend, winter met spring in our greenhouse. With snow covering the ground and spring bulbs in pots, we had an idea—bring the snow inside.

Our pots with spring bulbs have been inside the greenhouse since autumn. As the greenhouse warms during sunny afternoons, the soil dries out. Since the water isn’t pumped yet due to -10°C temperatures, we decided to bring snow inside. It will melt slowly, providing gentle moisture to the pots without shocking the plants.
Have you ever done that?

Plants need water when they start to grow. The snow will melt as soon as it’s warmer outside or sunnier inside 🙂
