The next day, winter still lingered, wrapping the world in its cold embrace — but the sun had its own plans. As Helmi’s little ice rink shimmered on the frozen pond, the trees stood tall, basking in the sunlight.

Perched on the white branches, birds sat quietly, facing the sun. They looked like tiny guardians of winter, soaking in the warmth, their feathers fluffed against the chill. It felt like they were savoring the light just as much as we did — waiting, hoping, and warming up.

Sometimes, the beauty of the world is in these still moments — in birds warming up under the winter sun, in little patches of ice cleared by small hands, and in the slow shift from one season to the next.

Thank you, Andrea! The snow looked like crushed ice, I agree! It was very light and powdery as well!
