Today we celebrated Jānis’ sister’s 35th birthday – and what a celebration it was! Despite the cold and constant drizzle (just 10°C!), the outdoor party had a truly magical atmosphere. Everything was soaked – the grass, the benches, the sleeves of our jackets – but somehow, it all felt perfect in its own wild, wonderful way.

Nelle took my old camera and wandered around capturing the mood – the raindrops on petals, muddy boots, twirling skirts, and smiling faces. I can’t wait to look through her shots and share the gallery soon.
I’m cold now. And tired. My socks are definitely beyond saving. But my heart is full. I danced in the rain today. I laughed with good people. And I celebrated someone special in a way that felt deeply real.
Sometimes the best memories are the soggy ones. 💚🌧
