I went out to the garden just to check if we had enough yellow beans for lunch, and instead I came back with a full basket of sugar peas (and a bit of beans)! The kids ate quite a lot of them fresh, and I did too. Still, I’m thinking of cooking a stew with our own carrots, potatoes, and peas.

Linna also picked some carrots — they’re starting to get bigger now and perfect for crunching on fresh. 🙂

I was forgetting the beautiful bouquet of dahlias on my table from the celebration. Need to share!

The rainy days are starting to show up again, but honestly, we’ve gotten so used to them this year that it doesn’t bother us anymore. 🙂

Well, the vegetables must like the rain – you sure know how to grow them big and beautiful! I love sugar snaps . . . you truly have ‘healthy living’ screaming out of your photos . . .

And Ilze – I had not forgotten you asked me about where one could read up on natural medicine – life has just been a bit busy 🙂 ! Besides the obvious > getting free newsletters from Mayo Clinic and Harvard Medical School which are ‘partly there’, I would Google ‘Jonathan Landsman’ (Florida) – methinks he is the best for putting on free 6-8 day quiet ‘talk’ series on various health topics. The idea is > they are on for 24-hours only and then busy people buy the series 🙂 ! Instead, I pick one or two of the talks a day for free and wait for the series to come around again 🙂 ! He has the best natural health physicians in the States on board – some go overboard – from others you can pick up very good but not well-known ideas ! With the way you live growing fresh vegetables naturally and walking and being in the sun > you are most of the way there already 🙂 !!!

Thank you so much for remembering and for sharing these resources! 🌿 I’ll definitely look up Jonathan Landsman – sounds like a great way to learn from different perspectives without getting overwhelmed. And yes, I do try to live as close to nature as I can with my gardening and walks, though I know I still have a lot to learn when it comes to natural medicine. Maybe I should finally start diving deeper into it instead of just being curious on the side. 🙂

It’s funny how everything changes once it’s written down. I published the post and then started wondering—is this really what I want this corner to be? Maybe something different… perhaps a table for puzzles and board games? Originally, it was meant to be a library corner, but since I’ve already tucked all the books into the nooks, there’s no need for shelving anymore. Now I’m left with free space—which somehow turns into its own kind of problem. 🙂

Ilze dearHeart – just noticed the last comment. I did not know – I do hope I have not said anything out-of-turn out of ignorance.

All good! I’m Latvian, so we tend to be pretty straightforward. 🙂
