I loved this. Truly loved it. I had to share this recipe!
I’ve baked a lot of quick breads over the years — soda bread, all kinds of fast no-yeast solutions, seed and pumpkin breads when I want something nourishing without waiting. They all have their place.
But these bagels? This was something else.
Two main ingredients.
No yeast.
No waiting.
No drama.


The dough came together fast, was easy to handle, and baked beautifully. And the result?
So moist. So soft. So delicious.
Honestly, I didn’t expect them to be this good.



They’re cheap, quick, and perfect for everyday life — when you want something homemade but don’t have the energy or time for a full baking project. Warm from the oven, with butter, cheese, or just on their own… they disappeared very quickly.
Bagels (Oven Baked) – 2 ingredients
You can also make this recipe in an air fryer.

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup self-rising flour (Flour + baking powder + salt)
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- egg wash or milk or butter
- seesam seeds, poppy seads (optional)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and Greek yogurt until fully mixed and a ball of dough forms.
- Lightly flour a work surface. Place the dough on it and sprinkle with a little extra flour. Gently knead the dough, flatten it slightly, and divide it into 6 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a thin sausage shape and join the ends to form a bagel. Place the bagels on the prepared tray. Brush the tops with butter, egg, milk, or water. Sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds, if using.
- Bake for 20–22 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving.

Am not really a baker but many friends are . . . your bagels look hugely appetizing and, at first glance, it is difficult to believe they only have the two ingredients . . . but I love yoghurt, the Greek one especially – so here we go . . .
