Sometimes a blog post doesn’t need a big story.
Today, it’s simply me in my new dress, wandering around the garden.
The dress made me feel happy the moment I put it on. It’s comfortable, feminine, and perfect for a warm summer day. The kind of dress that makes you want to slow down, stroll through the garden, and enjoy everything that’s growing around you. And that is exactly what I did 🙂

As for the garden… well, I know that for some people it would be a bit of a joke. There are no perfectly clipped hedges, no expensive landscaping, and no team of gardeners keeping everything picture-perfect.
But every flower bed, every path, every little corner has been created by my own hands.
I’m not paying someone else to build my garden, and I don’t plan to. For me, that’s part of the joy. It grows slowly, just like everything worthwhile. Some plants thrive, others don’t. I make mistakes, I move things around, I learn something new every season, and little by little it becomes more beautiful.
You have to start somewhere.
And honestly… I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Beautiful dress, garden and photos. I love the first photo…it shows pure joy. Have a great day.
Thank you! I love small things, it helps a lot when “big” things “isn’t working”. And then turns out that small things are “bigger / important ” than big things 🙂
Big things come along only once in a blue moon and then they may disappoint! Small things happen all the time if you only know how to notice and enjoy! The dress is very feminine and you should be hugely proud of how your plants want to grow and please you!
Thank you! I have problem with that but I’m learning and taking you all in this journey with me 🙂 (sorry, not sorry) 🙂
We’ll walk along and talk our heads off . . . and the ‘bad’ will get bored, shrug its shoulders and go bug someone else . . .
Oh, this is good!!!!!! Love it! I will write it down 🙂
Amen to all you just said! This is true perfection.
Thank you, Maria!
Keep enjoying summer. Your blog and your garden is wonderful Ilze.
Thank you, Maria! I love your garden, especially the small table and two chairs! I wish we could meet there and chat 😀
