Celebrating “Lačplēšu diena”
Yesterday we were in procession for the first time! I was surprised how many people were there. Also, girls liked that and I think that this will be our new way how to celebrate “Lāčplēšu diena”.
I was so taken away by all the candle lights and was amazed by all the people!

It looks wonderful. So glad you all enjoyed it. I see your chandelier joined in the commemoration!
Yup. I used dark red and white candles to make four “flags”. It is such a lovely light you can get from the candle chandelier wth 12 candles! Beautiful! 🙂
It’s so pretty! Fun for the girls to be in a parade!
Wonderful!!!
Thank you!
Candlelight always makes everything seem that much more special. What a beautiful tradition.
Than you! I’m starting to make it as a tradition for our family. I never before attend “Lāčplēšu dienas” memorial procession but I knew about it.
I’m still happy that You had this idea to go into the procession this year, otherwise I don’t know if I would do it this year!
You wouldn’t 🙂
Beautiful with candles. Lovely new tradition for your family.
For Christmas season I’ll add Christmas tree branches (how do you call them!? spruce branches!?)
