One Last Drive to the Forest

I couldn’t resist one final drive to the forest, eager to soak in the beauty of nature one last time before winter settles in. This time, I steered clear of the mysterious lakes and that quirky cabin, venturing a bit deeper into the woods instead. With my husband by my side, I felt adventurous and unafraid.

As we wandered through the trees, I spotted a patch of chanterelles! The vibrant golden mushrooms stood out against the forest floor, and I knew I had found a treasure. In total, we gathered a good amount—perfect for frying up and storing for the winter months.

There’s something magical about foraging for mushrooms, especially when you can share the experience with someone you love. I can’t wait to enjoy these delightful chanterelles in cozy meals throughout the colder season! Here’s to the last of the autumn harvest! 🍄💛✨
