Here I am, back in bed today. After yesterday’s visit to the doctor, I’m feeling quite under the weather. Thankfully, I have a sick leave, so I don’t have to worry about work. It’s one of those days. It just begs you to stay in bed. Forget the world for a little while.

In the midst of the gloom, I found a small ray of brightness yesterday. I settled into my armchair. I propped my feet up on another chair. A pillow supported my puzzle board on my lap. There’s something incredibly soothing about piecing together a puzzle. My kids even brought me fruits and tea, making it feel a bit like “hospital play.” I did finish the puzzle, but I’ll share more about that later.
For now, I’m craving another cup of tea and a bit more sleep. This virus—what the doctor suspects might be pneumonia (I hope it’s not!!!) —just doesn’t want to leave me. So, I’m embracing the cozy cycle: tea, sleep, puzzle—repeat. I’m currently waiting for my blood test results to know how to proceed. I’m not a fan of pills, so I’m hoping for a natural way to feel better.
Keep warm,
Ilze

I’m sorry to hear you’re still under the weather. DO whatever you need to to take good care of you. That’s what matters right now.

Does moving furniture around count? Or, cleaning the construction site to… conquer another corner?

Those certainly aren’t things I would find restful, lol.

I feel a little strange “liking” a post that describes your being under the weather. Like Jean said, I’m sorry to hear that. How can I claim to like it?
And I also agree with Jean, take good care of yourself, health IS what matters most. And you must be on the right path if we follow Seneca’s “To wish to be well is a part of becoming well.”
Well wishes for a swift recovery!!

I know you feel bad but if you had a short time feeling better a good hot bath with essential oils may help warm you and the steam help break up the congestion. Take good care of yourself.

This is a good idea! The problem is we are between houses – a lot of my stuff is somewhere packed and the new house isn’t finished as planned, we are living in construction site, as you can see in the photo 🙂

Wishing you better days, and no pneumonia. Your English is so perfect, absolutely great, is it your native language?
