So, there I was, driving through the forest, when suddenly—mushrooms! Right there, smack in the middle of the dirt road. It looked like someone had carefully arranged them, like a little mushroom art installation. I had to stop and check if this was real or some kind of prank. But nope—it was real!
These mushrooms had just sprouted out in the open, right on the path. Nature never fails to surprise, does it? Only in the forest could you come across something so unexpected and oddly charming. Naturally, I had to snap a photo to prove it!

Next time take your husband and see if he hets the same feeling. That could be interesting in that he may not get the same feeling.

With trees so lush I bet there are lots of birds and animals to take photos of. Just take a stick with you and a personal alarm in case the boogie man gets you. I have a personal alarm on my handbag, I doubt the need to use it will come along but it makes me feel better.

You’re absolutely right—the forest is full of life, with so many birds and animals to photograph! I always feel a sense of peace being surrounded by nature. If you’re deep in the forest with no one around, an alarm wouldn’t do much good. It’s always wise to stay alert and aware of your surroundings, especially when venturing into remote areas. OR the best option – not going alone 🙂

I’m not good with directions so I could get lost fast, I’d get turned around. But that’s the perfect environment i would love to hand out in. Would I do it by myself, no way! 🙂

That’s awesome! E-bikes are such a great way to go electric. The Prius has been a nice step into hybrids for me— I’m not sure I want full electric one day…

If you buy a gas powered car, you won’t run out of juice and need to carry a small portable gas powered generator with you like I have seen Tesla owners do. It defeats the purpose! Just buy a gas only car… 👍🏻😂

Oh, I see now—gas as in fuel, not propane! 😅 It’s true, though… sometimes it feels like the world’s approach to energy is a bit confusing. Makes you wonder where it’s all heading!

Yes, we call it gas, the UK calls it petrol, same thing. The big city busses here run on propane which is a great idea, the emissions are far less with propane than petrol.
We have the tree huggers on one side battling those who want to build oil pipelines as one example of a problem. America can’t tap into it’s own oil reserves as much as we could because of tree hugger groups suing people.
Hence, we have had to rely on oil purchased from the Middle East… It’s all so stupid…

A friend of mine, who’s passionate about mushroom foraging here in Latvia, recently visited. She had ended up in the hospital after a foraging trip to Germany, where she mistakenly picked Amanita muscaria, thinking it was Russula. I would never forage in another country without someone experienced supervising me first!

She’s recovered now, but still hesitant about eating mushrooms. The boyfriend from Germany, they’re not together anymore—he couldn’t forgive her for serving such a meal. He lost trust in her over it, which she thinks is a bit silly….. lifechanging…

I love this!
Nature is so awesome. I was driving down a country road one day and there were cracks in it. Through those cracks – there was grass in between all of it sprouting up. These are moments we must stop and take photos. 🙂

I completely agree! Nature has a way of showing its resilience in the most unexpected places. It’s amazing how life can find a way to grow, even in the cracks of a road. Those moments are definitely worth capturing. 😊

Yes!!! I love taking pictures of nature. Today, I saw two huge Eagles standing next to each other and had to pull over for that shot. It was beautiful. Nature truly is amazing.

That sounds like an incredible sight! Eagles are such majestic birds, and capturing a moment like that must have been unforgettable. Nature really has a way of surprising us with beauty at every turn. Do you often find yourself pulling over for nature shots like that? I absolutely do! I am a big fan of all things from nature, from sunrises and sunsets, to birds, the way the sky looks, rivers and oceans, etc. My kids make fun of me because I’ll pull over in the most random places and just take photos of different things.
One of my favorite things to take pictures of – are abandoned buildings forgotten in the middle of nowhere.

The Eagles – I will upload the photo a little later tonight. I pulled over on the side of a ramp leading to the highway near my house and they were side by side on the ground just standing there.
When I pulled over, they flew into the tree, but I still got them, 🙂

I’m curious, have you always loved photography, or is it something you picked up along the way? I started documenting our house renovation and nature walks, and now I can’t imagine life without a camera nearby. 😊
