Two days ago, the world around me turned into an enchanting dreamscape. While I always hoped for more snow during winter, this day had a unique kind of magic. The trees stood silently, every branch covered in tiny frost spikes. All that was wrapped in mysterious fog and no wind!
The fog added an extra layer of wonder. It muted the world, wrapping everything in a quiet stillness. It was the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairytale—a hidden world revealed only for those who pause to look.

The frost wasn’t just a simple coating; it was an intricate work of art, forming spiked crystals that reached out in all directions. The fog seemed to hold it all in place, like a protective veil preserving the beauty for just a little longer.
Walking through this scene felt surreal. The combination of frost and fog was too captivating to ignore. It all gone now, but I’ll always remember this magical morning, when frost and fog joined forces to turn my everyday surroundings into something extraordinary.
Have you ever experienced a day like this—when the fog and frost create a world that feels like a secret waiting to be discovered?

No, we rarely get snow. What type of animal is that in the last photo?

I can feel the quiet serenity in your photos. A dreamscape indeed. Fog does have a way of wrapping the world in magic, and the frost made it that much more enchanting. I’m glad you got to experience that Ilze.

Thank you, Mike! I’m so glad you enjoyed the photos, especially the tree-lined road—it’s one of my favorites too. There’s something truly magical about how a snowy day can mute the world and create such a peaceful atmosphere. Do you have a favorite winter scene or memory that comes to mind?

That’s lovely! We’ve got a storm rolling in I hope it brings snow but, only rain is in the forecast.

That sounds exciting! I hope the storm surprises you with some snow—it would be perfect for the season. Do you enjoy snowy stormy weather (winter), or are you more of a stormy rainy (summer) person when it comes to storms?

Me too. I love the snow. A good summer storm with thunder and lightening are cool, but in our dry climate here in Northern Nevada can be dangerous fire wise.

The summer storm is lovely here! All green and fresh after, but winter needs to be magical so I like the snowstorms only if anyone is home safe 🙂
