a day in the life of a latvian mom

I was out in the garden when suddenly I noticed a little bird landing in the sweet peas — only about four meters away from me. Moments like this make me so grateful for today’s phones. Of course, a camera would have been better, but there was no way the bird was going to wait while I ran inside to get it. So I snapped as many photos as I could with my phone. Not quite a hundred and one pictures, but definitely plenty. Enjoy. 🙂

I also noticed how beautifully the zinnias are blooming. This is my very first summer growing them, which means… I’ll definitely be planting more next year. 🙂

That’s about it for today — just strolling around my garden beds, nibbling on whatever’s ready, and enjoying the last days of summer… I can’t believe the vacation ends after 12 days.
