The sofa pillows finally got their zippers! I’ve been slowly working through them, one by one, and after a few hours of careful sewing, almost all of them were done. There’s something oddly satisfying about seeing a row of neat, functional pillows ready for the couch.

I had to cook dinner. The kitchen kept me busy for a while, the smell of the evening meal filling the house, and I completely forgot about the pillows for a moment.
When I returned, I found Helmī deeply engaged in some quiet tinkering. I peeked closer, curious, and what do you know… it wasn’t mischief this time! It was pure creativity. Helmī had been crafting a tiny backpack for the bear. Little hands, big imagination, and a small bear are now ready for adventures.

It’s moments like these that make all the small chores—sewing zippers, finishing pillows, cooking dinner—feel like part of a bigger, cozy story. Life’s little handmade moments are the ones that stick.

I love to see Helmi sewing. I learned to stitch when I was in 4th grade.

You have taught your daughters well . . . two things stand out – Helmi’s imagination to think of a thing like a bear’s backpack AND her ability at her age to accomplish something like that – kudos, Mother!
