I’m sorry, I peeked into the wrong festival! That is why I felt old and didn’t get it!

I had heard of Coachella before, of course — one of those big, almost mythical festivals you see in photos and short clips. But now I actually have the chance to watch it live, online.
And… I don’t think I understand it.
Justin is on stage, but instead of performing in the way I expected, he’s putting videos on YouTube and singing along to them. Maybe I’m missing something. Maybe this is part of the experience — the style, the atmosphere people go there for?
He doesn’t even perform the whole song. A minute in, he just stops. Then everyone — thousands of people — stands there watching the big screen while he searches for the next track. At some point, the crowd starts singing on their own, filling the silence in between.
And then it gets even stranger. He starts talking about Dame Papparatze, playing old “fail” videos…
I honestly can’t tell if this is intentional, ironic, or just completely falling apart in real time.
Maybe this is a new kind of performance — raw, unfiltered, unpredictable. Or maybe I just tuned in at the exact moment everything went off the rails.
There was even a Wi-Fi lag at one point.
Maybe this is what live shows look like now. Less about perfectly controlled performances, more about mixing media, reacting in real time, letting things be a bit messy and human. Or maybe I just happened to catch a very strange moment.
Either way, watching Coachella from my sofa is turning out to be a much more confusing experience than I expected.

It really does feel like everything is changing so quickly right now. Sometimes it’s exciting, sometimes a bit overwhelming. I try not to think too far ahead and instead focus on what’s here — my family, small everyday moments, things I can actually hold on to. That part still feels real and steady.
Yesterday I made ice cream from an old newspaper clipping that was in my grandmother’s recipe book. Delicious! It was made from all the products we are afraid of nowadays – cream, sugar, and raw eggs!

Ilze dearHeart – Justin Bieber > simple – if you really like, watch, if he acts like a strange ‘creation’, leave him to it and do something which pleases you. Don’t waste your precious time even if half the world does. Personally – I know who he is – in my book, would not have five minutes time for him . . . hope you’re well . . .

Thank you, this is not about him… about “where the pop music or artists heading?” More about me… about that I’m getting old.. or feeling “old”. I just don’t get it… again… not about him. About me not getting it… feeling old 🙂

Ilze dearHeart – I am twice + your age and simply am ‘me’ and ‘me’ does not feel old at all even if i ‘creak’ here and there 😉 ! SO – stop it young lady – the best is yet to come > I mean it!

I wasn’t sure what Coachella was – festival? singer? or what? but it
looks like it’s a waste of time anyway, so I’ll just carry on ignoring
it . . .

I’ve just checked about the festival.
When you hear Pink Pop or Glastonbury, you have a certain “level” or “age” so here are the facts:
Coachella ~26–28 young, trendy
Pinkpop ~30–40 mixed, relaxed, olfest in Europe
Glastonbury ~35–40 all ages, community
Burning Man ~35–45 oldest, most intentional
