This is not a beautiful blog post.

I’m a real person, and sometimes my reality is a struggle.
Right now, I can’t sleep. I can’t concentrate. Some days, I feel like I can barely live normally. I’m trying medication. I’m trying stretching, relaxing, resting, taking things slowly. I’m trying all the things I’m supposed to try.
And honestly? It’s all a struggle.
I haven’t been replying to your messages. I haven’t been keeping up with everything here. I know some of you have been waiting to hear from me, and you deserve to know why.
I’m not okay.
I’m not disappearing because I don’t care. I’m just struggling to get through the days right now.
Maybe this is something we don’t talk about enough — that behind the photos, recipes, gardens and pretty little moments, there are real people having really hard days.
We all have our struggles.
This is mine right now.
And I’m trying.

Sending hugs.
Hang in there, Ilze. It will get better. Just give it time.
Take care of yourself first!
Not to worry about about replying to my messages. You take care of YOU and get well very soon. Love and hugs. 🙏🙏
You come first, Illze, take care of number one for you and your beautiful family.❤️🙏🏻🥰
Wishing you peace of mind and hope you start feeling better soon. Time is a healer. (No reply necessary!)
Please don’t worry about us, Ilze. Take all the time you need and focus on yourself right now. We’ll still be here when you’re ready. Take care of yourself and be kind to yourself. ❤️
Dear Ilze,
Thank you for sharing this so openly. I’m so sorry that things are such a struggle for you at the moment.
Please don’t feel you need to apologise for not replying or keeping up. Sometimes simply getting through the day is enough, and the people who care about you will understand that.
You are so right that behind all the lovely things we share, there are real people carrying things we may know nothing about. I hope you can be very gentle with yourself while you find your way through this difficult time.
Thinking of you, Ilze, and sending you a virtual hug x
I’m sorry you are struggling like this, Ilze. Prayers it all gets sorted out soon and you can feel better. And as for any comments I have made on your blog, there’s never any pressure to respond at all. Just be well 🙂
Just sending you the biggest hug across the world. Take life as it comes, minute by minute and hour by hour . . . just you and your darling husband and your family . . . do things that feel comfortable . . . do things which give you a little pleasure . . . be content for a moment and then quietly decide what feels best next . . . the ‘bad’ will get bored and move away . . .
Take care, hope things turn around soon ❤️🩹
Sending hugs!
I’ve been there. I had to slow down to such an extent that I had to be happy with getting one thing done. It’s taken several years for me to come to another normal, and I am still not 100% or back to where I was before, and that is an acceptance I have come to terms with. I now have a different new normal, and some days are better than others, but I am also much better at listening to my body and understanding that maybe what I had planned is not going to happen. Deep breath, you’ve got this.
Turesu tevi manas lugsanas.
I’m sorry. Of course we all have struggles and we are real people. I wish yours to ease up and become more manageable. Hugs.
No like-button on this post. Sad to read that you’re not feeling well. For me acceptance works better than trying to control. All the best, Ilze.
