I thought of sharing some birds we have here in Latvia in the winter time. We have feeders near a window but in distance, so we don’t disturb them.
Mostly tits are coming to our feeder, sometimes woodpeckers. I love to watch them eat and sit in the nearest trees and sometimes we are lucky to see an unseen species.

Like this one – European crested tit. First, we saw this bird in December (the year 2016). Now I’m checking the feeder now and then and there is the only one European crested tit. While we lived in Riga (capital of Latvia) we never saw this tit before. And I can’t remember such bird in my childhood either. We had Great tits and house sparrows. I’ve checked Wikipedia:
Like other tits it is found in pairs and it feeds on insects (including caterpillars) and seeds.
For me, he looks angry and sad 🙂

No worry, I’m feeding them seed and fat balls to be warm and full all winter 🙂
