Vacation Day 27 – Sunshine and Sewing

The morning greeted us with a chill in the air – colder than usual, a gentle reminder that autumn is on its way. On my walk I noticed the grass covered in dew, and the spider webs glistening like lace in the morning light. It was such a beautiful sight, delicate threads sparkling as the sun rose higher. Small moments like that make me stop and truly feel the season changing.

And speaking of the sun – it shined so brightly today! After a string of cloudy days, that golden light felt like a gift, making everything look extra alive and fresh.

Back at home, I finally finished the curtains – hooray! That little word finally carries so much weight, because this project had been waiting for too long. Hanging them up instantly transformed the room, making it cozier and warmer.

I also spent time working on the sofa pillows, another project that’s been on my list for weeks. Stitch by stitch, I can see the space coming together. It’s funny how simple things like curtains and pillows can change the whole atmosphere, turning the room into a place you want to linger in. I used my moms technique to coppy the line where zipper should go.

With only a few vacation days left, I’m hoping to finish the pillows before slipping back into everyday routines. For now, I’m simply savoring the sunshine, the crisp air, and the morning spider webs glistening like pure magic. And as if to end the day on the same note, the evening sky put on its own spell with those dramatic clouds.
