I just want to pause for a moment and say thank you to everyone who replied to my last post, “Why are you following my blog?”. Reading through all your thoughtful, kind, and encouraging comments truly made my day.
I felt so much love and connection in your words — from curiosity about Latvia, to shared interests in cooking, gardening, crafts, or simply enjoying the photos and small slices of daily life. It’s amazing how people from so many different places can come together here and form a community around the little stories I share.
Honestly, I didn’t expect so many replies. Each one touched me in a different way, and I feel grateful (yes, still learning to use that word 😉) to have you all here.
I made that post because I’m standing at a little line of change in my life. With work, family, and house projects, I don’t always know how much time I’ll have to sit down and write regularly. But knowing that you are here — reading, commenting, connecting — gives me strength and encouragement to keep going whenever I can.
So once again, thank you for being here. You’ve reminded me why I started blogging in the first place: to share, to connect, and to create a space where we can meet across borders, find pieces of ourselves in each other’s stories, and to inspire myself when I’m down 🙂

Your family is adorable, Ilze. Yes, write when you can. I know that I have some things to figure out, as well. I can’t keep up with all the emails related to the blog (more than 1,000 a day). I love connecting with everyone but have to pace myself so I have time to write, read, care for my home and family, and meet friends.
Whenever you are available, I’ll be here looking forward to reading your post. It’s actually better when posts don’t come every day or multiple times a day from someone. That’s my opinion.
