Spring is here!

Spring is slowly returning, and the garden is starting to wake up! In this video, I take a walk around my garden to see what’s happening: my raised beds are beginning to take shape, snowdrops are starting to appear, and I check on the plants I sowed over the winter in my mini greenhouses.

I also go through my seed supplies, reviewing expiration dates and organizing packets by sowing months to prepare for the upcoming planting season. Along the way, I notice some deer have nibbled on the roses and even my little magnolia—but the garden still looks promising.

It’s the perfect time to swap winter boots for rubber boots, enjoy the increasing sunny days, and celebrate the first small steps of spring in the garden.

Video is in Latvian, but I’ve added subtitles in English just for you, my blogging friends 🙂

  1. Yay for spring! I hope you have a wonderful growing season, Ilze. You live in a beautiful place. I don’t understand anything you say but the language sounds nice. Have a great weekend! ❤️

          1. Oh, thanks Ilze. I obviously have never used that option before. I think the road should be paved so that it can be used in the spring thaw, how do you guys get out to town?

  2. Thoroughly enjoyed hearing you voice on the video and seeing spring really arriving in Latvia 🙂 ! Heaps of greenery struggling to get thru’ the soil towards the sun and I DO love those clever bottles 🙂 Hope each day is a tad warmer and longer and you can start using those rather numerous seed packets on the shelf 🙂 !
