Under the Weather and Cozy in Bed

Today has me bundled up in blankets, chamomile tea by my side, feeling all kinds of achy and exhausted with a sore throat and a slight fever. Not quite the relaxing day off I’d planned!

I’ve created a cozy little spot in bed, complete with my favorite mug, some honey-laced tea, and a good book within reach (and maybe it’s finally time to open that puzzle box). My body’s telling me to slow down, so that’s exactly what I’m doing… sort of. I’d taken a vacation day to relax and unwind, but here I am, stuck in bed instead!

My mom arrived yesterday (as planned weeks ago!), so I’m feeling a little guilty about not being the best host. Luckily, she’s already made me tea and seems happy to settle in too. Hopefully, with a bit of rest, I’ll be back on my feet soon—and maybe even ready to relax properly.

For now, it’s just tea, blankets, and fingers crossed for a speedy recovery! 🛌🍵

    1. Thank you, Mike. The problem is – I’m not good at napping. If I nap – I can’t sleep half of the night. The temperature is rising… 🙁

    1. Thank you, Derrick! I’m not good at this.. I do everything like “normally” and then “crying” for being tired 🙂

      1. It must taste great with mother
nature to eat from! I like Manuka Hoey from New Zealand but most are stronger tasting and I wouldn’t use it in tea. The medicinal properties are high so I eat a tablespoon a day.

    1. I’m afraid that’s not the case. I can’t help feeling guilty for not taking better care of her… after all, she’s my guest.
