Introduction:
I’m excited to set my intentions and focus on what matters most this month. Here’s what I hope to accomplish and how I plan to make the most of these 28 days.

Personal Goals:
- Health and Wellness:
- Focus on improving my sleep schedule
- Cook healthier meals and reduce fast food consumption
- Add a short daily stretching routine or nature walks to my schedule
- Mental Health:
- Dedicate my day off to activities that help me recharge—journaling, long baths, or creative projects like choosing house finishes.
Family & Relationships:
- Plan one small but meaningful outing or activity with the kids to combat the winter blues.
- Find time for a cozy date night with Jānis.
Gardening:
- Plan the whole process 🙂 What vegetables and herbs I’ll grow this year.
- Divide what goes into the greenhouse, furrows, and raised beds.
- Work on raised beds, February is too early to install them, but I can plan :).
- Check the collection of seeds I already have and test the germenation rate.
- Seed: tomatoes, paprika, leeks and winter sowing ones.
Fun and Creativity:
- Share my thoughts and photos more frequently on Instagram in my native Latvian language to connect with local thinkalikes 🙂
Renovation:
- Not sure what to plan there.. it’s so unpredictable.
That’s about it, let’s see if I can keep up with the plan 🙂

That’s a lot to do, Ilze, I hope you get it all done. Instagram banned me twice now for speaking my mind on things. This is called Censorship. I am DONE with IG. Have a great weekend!

Yeah, there’s always so much to do, but I’ll get there step by step! That sounds really frustrating about IG—sorry you had to deal with that. Wishing you a great weekend too!

Sounds like a bit much on your plate! One sleep idea is to lie down 30-45 minutes before sleep time. The room needs to be dark and quiet. I give myself a good slathering of lotion and use an essential oil roller ball on my neck, chest, and temples. Most nights I use a cuticle softener and then time to rest or meditate. I’ve used the routine for a couple of years and I sleep good now. It’s all about having time for your brain to download before bedtime.

It definitely feels like a lot sometimes! Your bedtime routine sounds so calming—I love the idea of giving the brain time to wind down. I might try adding some essential oils to my routine. Thanks for sharing!

Maybe add in some “Me-time”? you don’t want to exhaust yourself!

You’re so right! I’m trying to find that balance—easier said than done, but I’m working on it!

Oh, at least I have a plan! I don’t intend to go back and check what I wrote—I just want to see how it all unfolds naturally. 😊 This blog is all about having fun and doing what I want to do, not what I have to do! Do you have plans for February?

I have the next round of my BCG vaccine instillations – otherwise I take each day as it comes

I hope the process is going smoothly for you. Taking each day as it comes is a solid approach. Do you have anything comforting or distracting planned to make it easier?
