The Garden’s Last Harvest

Last goodies from the garden — the last corn, a few carrots and beets, a few last zucchinis, and apples.

Also, was lucky to pick the last aromatic wild strawberries I seeded from the seed and autumn raspberries.

Have you ever heard of Schisandra berries?

Schisandra is such an interesting berry 🙂 I still don’t quite know what to make of it – exept to eat one per day. The taste is so strange — sour, sweet, bitter… somehow all at once.

And I think that really is the last of the garden now. There are probably still a few things hiding somewhere, but this is what I found today.

  1. OMG – how time flies 🙂 ! It seems but yesterday you were showing us seed packets and the early seedlings sprouting . . .now it is past harvest and you are talking of frosts 🙂 ! You have had the opportunity to feed your family a lot of very healthy, fresh and tasty produce . . . kudos!

    1. Thank you, Eha! I love gardening in a small, controlled environment. 🙂 I watered my garden only three times this year (which is nothing!) and the greenhouse a little more. 🙂

I weeded every morning while drinking my coffee… so it never really felt like a chore.

And now I’m already starting to miss it. 🙂 It feels like March is SO far away!
