My newbie blog 1-year-old already!

There is something about my feelings right now…
… I can’t believe how much things have happened this year! ONE year! The first year of this blog that I made a year ago… I can’t express my feelings in English, so I hope to share a few “facts” :). First of all… I’ve started this blog being absolutely miserable newbie mom! Yes, Yes… miserable!
How usually people start a blog? They start with “Hello, my name is…” or at least “Well, this is my first blog post…”. Check my first blog post on this blog! Well!? Miserable (I even didn’t mention my eyelid allergy that started few days before… and…). But for the first time, I wasn’t afraid of being who I am! I’ve started to listen to myself, and started to write… freely! But the best part I’ve looked for a solution gathered my emotions and wanted to deal with “problems” I had. Check my second blog post on the same day!

So today I made a coffee (and Janis brought a cake for breakfast!!) and decide to scroll down my blog post archive… WOW! Emotions overload! Is that my year!? Realy!? By the emotions and amount of “memories”, I would say that it was 2 years or even 3 years of my life! And that was the main reason why I made this blog, to remember a day in the life of a latvian mom.  And there wasn’t a reason for choosing “mom” over “mum” or “mam”. Believe me!
So here I am having a blog with more than 300 blog posts, with about 600 followers, few thousands of comments and way more “likes”… in one year!
Thank you all for accepting me for who I am, loving me, inspiring me, supporting me and being with me! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!

I wasn’t in from the start and wasn’t able to read every day until after summer travelling but your blog has given me so much pleasure and I have come to love love your family and now it’s the first blog I look for each day. And I’ve learned a bit about Latvia! I’m looking forward to the next year.

    1. Thank you! This year was crazy! And you are the reason/inspiration why I’m being me as much as I can express through WordPress! Whatever I suggested or decided – you were there saying: “I love you and your blog, but you do what is best for you and your family!” (exact words of you 🙂 ) Thank you, Jodi!

    1. The blog name came to me in that morning – like no matter what you always, always be a mom! SO, let’s add together something related to place I’m from. Latvian mom is funny name always ask for explanation 😀

  10. You’re to be congratulated! The ups and downs this past year have been great but you’ve shown us all that we are human and just doing the best we can with what we are given. You’re a wonderful mom. How blessed we are, each of us to live the life of a young mom in Latvia….vicariously thru you of course. Thanks for a great year. I look forward to more adventures.     1. Thank you!!! I had you in my dream last night! Imagine that!!! You were teaching Nelle English language. And I notice you, cause you were really petite and asked are you AJ from A Petite Slice of Life!? 🙂 Stupid, I know but interesting at the same time 😀

  12. Congratulations one blogging for an entire year! I also just hit 1 year and I agree with everything you said! It is amazing, the people that I have connected with and the support they have provided (even if they did not know it) 🙂
